I was going through some comments by some folks in this forum (http://www.nyjournalnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070711/NEWS02/707110350) - and one of them says - how come these guys were silent when they were pressing for Illegal Immigration reforms? What the heck? You live in this country on a budget with your employer and they expect you to solve the problems of this country.

you know.. I meant to do this a while ago, but lost track of the thought. I have a write up in one of my books, done by Colin Moock, in which he takes his frame rate tester and tests a variety of things to see which effect frame rate and to what degree. I really do think it's worth posting. I'll try to do a small write up on the subject soon.

Did the office say that you are granted visa and the passport will be mailed. I know in Mumbai consulate, you can collect the stamped-passport the same evening.
NewDelhi consulate will have an email address, email them and check. otherwise if you are there in the city visit the consulate and enquire.
Just my thoughts.All the best.
THe process has changed the passport are now delivered the next day between 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM. Mumbai consulate no longer delivers the passport the same day of interview.

Here is my situation.My Pirority date is March 2005 and my category is EB3. My 485 and my spouse;s ( as my dependent) was filed through my compnay on July 2nd.
My spouse's company's had independently started processing is GC under EB2.His priority date is June 2007.He got his labor approved last week and is eligible for i-140 and 485 right now.
At this time, which category is most benefitial to us? EB3 from March 2005 or EB2 from July 2007?

I got different answers from Khanna and Murthy.
Khanna office saying we can apply for 485 with old priority date(140 will be approved with new pritority date), murthy office said it's better to get 140 approval with old priority date and then go for 485.
check with your attorney.
when you file for the 485 you can use old priority date. priority dates can be transferred if old 140 was approved and you changed the company to restart the process all over again.
