Pappu -- Is there anything i need to do besides sending the e-mail. I've sent the e-mail twice and its been a week since the contribution has made. I am by no means waiting desperately waiting to get access to donor forums but i am curious. Please let me know what i am missing. If the team is busy, may be IV should think about looking for more volunteers.

Its simple,,fill in form 10c and and form 19 and send it to HR. They should even help you get it direct deposit in to your local account in India. I got mine....it was pain-less. This was not with tcs,,,another company...
My case is not simple but i did not quit in usa either..i resigned without doing the notice period in india sometime back.
So is it possible to file 10C and 19 directly with the PF office and get the money without involving TCS?

My current H1 VISA is valid until Nov 2006.

The problem here is that my passport is valid only until Dec 2007.
In this case Can I get the new VISA stamped until Sep 2008?
On the website it says that "To be eligible for a VISA, you passport must be valid for at least 6 months past intended stay in the United States"

The Advance degree + 3 years of experience on H1B are not just a matter of fact formulation from the senators. It�s an effort to revert back to the 60�s through 80�s formula where the only way to immigrate to the US (at least for Engineers) was to pursue a master�s degree in the US and then adjust their status to a PR. There is a growing demand from academic institutions to revive this culture. America wants people to study here, specialize in evolving technologies and drive the technological innovation. Every day we see posts on this forum of folks wanting to include laws and regulations to fix the situation that they are in. We need to have a unified front with a common goal. May be we should learn from the �less educated� Latino community. They probably do not have the internet media to rally support but boy did they have their voice heard with ONE COMMON AGENDA.

Guys,
Your help/guidance is needed on this strange situation.
I am still in India and I have got my H1B1 approved thru one employer. I am waiting on few documents from my employer who is in US. I am still waiting for these documents so that I can go for Visa stamping.
Apparantly, this employer is causing some issues in giving me all my supporting documents.
My question: can I find some other employer and transfer my H1B1 and then go for stamping thru this new employer?
You experience, knowledge will be appreciated.

However, I hear people talking about it all the time, there is no such thing as a transfer as if you could port your visa to a new company.
Whenever you want to switch jobs, you have to apply for a whole new H1.
Having one already does not make things faster or easier, except when you are already in the US. In this case, you can switch jobs as soon as you file the new H1, you don't have to wait for approval. However, there is a big risk:
what if the new H1 is denied? You already quit your previous employer and cannot work for the new one anymore...Then you are in big trouble.
In your situation, just file a new H1 with a new employer, that's it.

A little update; I was asked to send some of these pictures to Sveriges Ornitologiska F�rening (main ornithological society), and the pics are now on their home page (http://www.sofnet.org) with a short story (http://www.sofnet.org/index.asp?lev=2125&typ=1) . This is regarding status, if GC or CITIZEN there should not be any problem. If its H1B visa, then it should have validity. Means H1B visa should not have expired. I heard this story from my brother in law and in fact travel agents know this and they themselves advice on this. Those with expired H1B visa cannot travel through EUROPE. So my brother in law went to India through middle east.

My company ( biggie US firm) filed 140 and 485 on a substituted LC on July 2.
Now my own LC which was pending in BEC (and which has better PD) is approved. Can I file 140 on this? Since substitution is risky, I want to use this 140 for my 485 (over the substituted one) ? How do I do that?
