Hi Vikramy - Do you know of any particular reasons for these transfer denials? Also what could have been the reason in your case? Please explain if you have examples for the company starting with cognXXXXX, I just put my transfer papers in to join them.... :confused:

Current Status: Case received and file gathering dust waiting for visa number.
On MM DD, YYYY, we received this application and mailed you a document describing how we process it. But you do not need to bother. Our system is so screwed up that we did not know how many cases we had pending. We did not communicate with DOL and DOS properly; so we ended up causing the July Visa Bulletin fiasco, which actually screws up your case even more if you were not one of the lucky applicants to have actually obtained your GC. But your increased fees for EAD & AP renewals have afforded us new janitors, so we will try to keep your files dust free.
P.S : If you are an advanced degree holder born in India. Hahahaha.

As a loyal reader of greatandhra.com shared a blasphemous incident with us through mail and we have written and uploaded that news yesterday. And that is about Lord Ganesh�s picture on beer bottles made by one of the US breweries.

Countless mails have inundated the mail box of greatandhra.com admin with sharing of anguish by hundreds of readers for this blasphemous act of that breweries company. They stated that they have contacted that Lost Coast Brewery with a complaint and also forwarded the response mails from that company. All the forwarded mails have got the same �copy-paste� response from Lost Coast GM/Sales. Here is that:

Please note that I will act to evaluate this issue and meet directly with the owner group towards mitigating your concerns. It is good that many are fighting with that company to see the bottles removed from stalls immediately. The follow up on this incident requires continuous force and Hindu community should see that such blasphemy will not repeat again. And also ensure that those beer bottles are not in market with Lord Ganesh or any other divine picture of Hindu religion. Some suggested to make this news reach Sivasena, RSS and VHP as well. And we wish our readers do that as the voice of thousands will be louder than that of one.

don't send copy of passport or DL. it clearly says not to, and my experience was it is unnecessary, as you will get a biometrics appointment (where they check your id).

Thanks so much for your message. Let me list down what I have after the visa transfer to my current employer. Can you pls. help validate if I need anything else for me and my wife? You had mentioned something about I-539. This is what I have.
1. I-797A notice of action in my name. It says Case type - I129 Petition for non-immigrant worker. It says approval notice valid from 12/27/2006 to 12/25/2009.
2. I-797, notice of action in my wife's name. . It says Case type - I539 Application to extend / change nonimmigrant status. It says approval notice valid from 12/02/2007 to 12/25/2009.
Would appreciate very much if someone could help validate.

I still haven't received my Green card. Realistically, I can expect only in 2017, a solid 14 years after my initial filing. In my profession, technology chances at a rapid pace and 14 years is like several decades. Also, the economy would have several boom and bust cycles during those 14 years. Recession itself is very bad but a legal employment based immigrant goes through a "recession with severe restrictions"....
One has to live through it to understand it...In all this, one thing that keeps me awake is my strong desire to provide a better life for my children and to realize my version of the American dream."

Same thing happened to me... My wife received her notice first... I didnt receive it for almost 2 weeks after her... called USCIS... IO told me a FP was not issued for me at all, and I have to wait 30 days to receive it :mad:... checked my mail box the same day it was there!:D

Following is the Employee Agreement

One of friend is in a similar boat. While she was on her F1 she worked without authorization and since then she changed her status from F1 to F2 and finally to H4. Her husbands GC was approved, but hers wasn't. So now the attorney has filed for appeal based on 245K, as he feels that since she has left and country and re-entered it on multiple occasions on a different statuses the immigration officer should only look for inconsistencies in her application only from the time of last legal entry. Does this approach make sense. So what is her status now?

My Receipt Date is Sept 18th. I changed address before I got my receipt.
For address change,
1) On Sept 25th, I filed AR-11 online, then as a chain, modified the addresses on all my pending applications. I got letter confirmations. This happened in Sept.
2) I also called them in Nov to raise a SR since I did not receive the FP notices. In the SR, I again gave my new address.
3) Then today I got the status changed as Notice Returned as Undeliverable.
4) I called USCIS first thing in the morning and again raised a SR
5) I also took an Infopass to meet field office folks and ask for help
All this I did to my spouse also.

I am planning to go outside US for three weeks, I am planning to enter using AP (I485 is pending), my H1B extension is pending (no receipt). my H1 is expired.
The questions are :
1. With above conditions, will everything be ok when I come back esp with my H1B extension process ? can I get H1B approval ? this is my fourth extension.
2. Do I need to surrender my expired I-94 at POE ?
3. When I come back from vacation, can I still use H1B status for working ? because I will enter using AP (status : parolee) and my H1B extension is pending.

Your employer should contact VSC immediately using the contact channels set up for premium processing cases (I believe they have dedicated email addresses and telephone numbers for premium processing).

Today (03/15/2010) my employer got Receipt No mail from VSC. It says that VSC Received date is 03/12/2010 and the count of 15 days will start from 03/12/2010.But FedEx Delivery date is 03/04/2010.
Does they process premium processing like this?
