Texas has joined the bandwagon. Starting 10/1 anyone other than Perm Residents and Citizens will have to show proof of legal residency and will only be issued a 1 yr license that will look different from everyone elses. Seee details in the link below

Why can't I use EAD?.
My EAD is getting expired this month end too.
Why didn't I apply for renewal before?.
I am early 2004 EB2 I applicant, my date was current and I was expecting GC anytime soon, but I beleive USCIS was busy processing newer application and my PD moved back this month.

My original H1 expired last week. And I do have EAD. But need to bring my spouse in few months on H4. So can i use my EAD while H1 MTR is filed. And then go back on H1.
You cannot use EAD to bring your wife,you need an approved H1.

Google search on Portability with I-140 in "Approvable" condition.
That is your solution, incase you have to change employers before I-140 and 485 are approved, with 180 days passed.

What number I can call at? When I call them- they told me I have to come in person to get status as they can't give it over phone for non-US citizens.

I came across one member who is taking ARRA in Northern california. He is a frequent visitor to IV forumn.
I have had applied for UI and did not have any issues yet. 9 weeks over. Secondly i have recently asked UI whether they would pay relocation if i get a job in a another state.

a. 1 letter from Company A
States my title, skills dates
b. 2 letters from Company B.
1 generic letter from HR stating dates, no skills
1 letter from colleague stating title, skills, dates
I think the problem is with the Letter provided by the colleague. USCIS might be looking for a letter from Company B on the lines of that from A.
Just Resending the letters as-is might not work- my 2paise.

I applied without medicals for myself, my wife and my son. I got everything except AP. Did the FP one week back.
I applied without the medical for my wife, my son and me and I already received my receipts and EAD almost one month ago. My wife and my AP show an LUD yesterday and today but still pending but my son didn't show anything. USCIS received my application on August 14.
I hope this can help.

You can extend H1B, if your labor was approved before I-94 expiry date. If it happens, do premium for I-140 (15 days), with approved I-140, you can extend upto 3 years.

Context is very important here. IRS has its own rules, USCIS has got its own and then universities have their own set of rules. I have had a lot of fight with university to get in-state tution fee on H-4 visa. So please explain your context and I can shed some more light on this topic (based on my own experience).

diptam - Thanks for the reply. The letters I had sent earlier is very similar to the template of the letter you posted. I am going to get new letters and send them over. Hopefully, it will get me out of this crazy 140 delay.
getrdone - By the labor application, I assume you are talking about the approved labor certificate that lists the experience and skills? If so, yes I do have a copy of it and will be including this language in the letters.
By the way, is it required to send 2 letters from each employer?

Looks like this is the system that USCIS has been saying they are working on to identify pending cases.
Now, what if your case is pending and your Attorney is not a AILA member or you do not use an Attorney?
maybe u should write to the ombudsman and let them know that its not fair for people who dont have aila attorneys.

I wonder if anyone noticed that. I am a July 2nd filer and my priority date is not current and long will not be. But I noticed many many LUDS on my I485 and no change in messages. Has anyone noticed that too?
My LUDS: 9/7, 9/11, 10/3(after FP), 12/10, 12/11, 12/15, 12/18.....
I wonder what is happening....

He asks us to use internet to tell him what our problems are and also allows us to vote. Though we are not Citizens. He is not asking us to register using SSN or anything and filtering only Citizens.. Its open to all.. Go and tell your problem and also DO vote on relevant topics.
Since its related to economy, related your GC problem to a solution on how you can make a difference to economy by jobs and by buying houses.. Please do it.
