Can any of the 2011 iMac owners check if any of the components in their newly bought iMac operate underclocked?
Apple has, in the past, been known to do this to maintain a certain power consumption or thermal level.
This could explain some of the "low" scores we are seeing of late.

If there's any advantage to paper books, it's that you can take it places anywhere and don't need a computer. I had a job where I took books with me and would read when it was slow.
This is not much of an advantage, esp with iPads and other readers.
All my reading right now is eBooks! Easier to have several books open to cross-reference stuff too.

Agreed, this does sound fishy. Tell your friend that she should bring someone with her when she meets this guy. Also, tell her to check the item before she hands over the other phone. Good luck and keep us informed.

Blizzard never actually claims that anything about the emulated servers, themselves, is illegal. Rather, they attempt to mislead you into believing that the servers are illegal by associating them with illegal copies of the World of WarCraft client. They do have a legal argument, however, albeit a weak one, which is that the development and existence of these servers encourages the distribution of pirated copies of the game, and thus the servers should be considered illegal. Such an argument would not, in my un-professional opinion, stand in any court, as I can't believe that Blizzard has much of anything to back it up.
I wanted to add that I am aware of the case of Blizzard v. Bnetd. However, I think there are significant differences between the circumstances in that case and those in this one. The Battle.net service is a free online game service for several Blizzard games, as was Bnetd. However, first of all, Battle.net is free, and second of all, using Battle.net is not necessary to play any of the games it hosted. You can play StarCraft, WarCraft II and III, and Diablo I and II single player or multiplayer over a LAN. Bnetd, as far as I know, basically offered the same service (which was not necessary to play the game) for the same price. I had the same screen glitch issue with my Late 2007 Black model w/ 4GB RAM, sent in to Apple in mid 08 and they replaced the logic board when it was under warranty, I use to see it again afterwards but never since the software updates which improve the graphic performance throughout 10.5.x

This KB (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4205) clarifies the fact that it's not an option on 2g touches plus shows that the current 8gig touch is not a 3g touch.

Have you checked the directory permissions? By default, your Documents directory is set to only be readable by you (for security on your local machine).
Try chmodding that sucker...

So I have a Rev C. 667 powerbook and it won't boot up when I press the power button?
Any thoughts on this before I make a trip to the Apple store.....(oh, and its a work computer and they didn't get AppleCare - stupid I know, but I wasn't paying for it.....)

Not to be the pooper, but it looks really congested. Maybe have a floating shelf system under the TV, or something other than that huge shelf piece. I had a room when I lived in Florida, and at first, I had a huge book shelf and tv stand. I ended up getting a two piece glass setup for my ps3, dish box, etc., and some shelves that go on the wall from Ikea, which made the room much more spaced and open. For a room, I always feel like that less is more. Just my $.02.

I have a 2011 MBP 17" and I order the kit from MaxUpgrades.
The kit including optibay, enclosure for superdrive and a Vertex3 120GB and two day shipping was $370 IRC. They even managed to ship the same day I ordered. So it was definitely a plus. Considering you have a maybe pick a SATAII based SSD unless you plan to upgrade some time down the road so you could recycle the SATAIII SSD.
The only downside is that it doesn't come with any instruction. But then again, it's not very different to others. Just be careful and you shouldn't have any problem.
The optibay is very well made, feels solid when holding. I didn't have any fitting issue although some other users have reported some slight problems. I think it's because they are pretty tight fit, so don't tighten then screw all the way until you have all 3 on.
