    My employer filed my I-140 in Texas Service center and I-485/ I-765/ I-131 filed in Nebraska Service center. Is this OK?

    When i asked for the reason they are saying they did intentionally. Please clarify.

Forgetting the security checks, I was reading that for such ppl they say go back to home country for stamping. Mostly ppl with us degrees are fine. WOuld she be safe cause she had one h1 stamped in india few years back?

    If they recapture from 1994 to 2006, then we will get 216,000 EB visas.

    advantage I will have is I am guaranteed to stay till my 9th year H1 expires which still has 2+ yrs left, and at the same time take second job on EAD and travel on AP. If I choose to switch to EAD then if the 485 decision is against then I would have no option of staying here.

    Chennai consulate would take 1 or 2 days for processing. You can send an email to them or talk to VFS and request if they can re-schedule it for earlier date.
    Wen you do not have much time, you should not take any chance. Try to reschedule it in Delhi or Bombay.

    Chennai consulate took 2 days in 2005.
    Delhi consulate took 2 days in 2006.

    I filed at TSC, transferred to CSC, receipted, transferred to NSC - so not exactly the same situation. Interesting to note your case filed on 7/27/07 is being processed.

    Mine was filed on 06/30/2007
    RD: 07/02/2007.
    USCIS says they're processing by ND ("when it was entered... ").

    Signs of life @NSC, nevertheless.... :)

    I got RFE on my case my case is NSC-CSC-NSC Transfer. Got Soft LUD in last 2 days and got RFE mail yesterday night. Waiting to hear back from lawyer about type of RFE. But atleast seems like they had started working on my case and if no RFE it would have been approved.

    Yes, some of them do.
    And depending on your luck/contacts/influence you might even extract an EB-1A out of them and get your GC in 6-9 months.

    All you need is a team of 2-3 people reporting to you and one project in europe/australia and you'll qualify for EB 1 as per Infy's rules.

    at the interview for my mothers. the lady said, FBI finger print check is different then name check.. People get stuck in name check because they may have a common name. So for example one with a very common name and a long one, will be stuck in name check for a while. Name check is done the country where you are from. FBI request that from the native country. I know lots of Inidan who have long names, have been stuck for a year to 2. Same token Muslims with names like Mohammed, will be stuck for years.

    also there is luck there too. She said something in regards to that new application which are filed recentlly dont take that long. Usually most 6 monts. Who know, all I know my mother is 60 years old, and she was told at the interview that her name is stukc in name check..

    Go figure....

    well.. i guess try your best. the cause here is worth 70 mile trip, if need be. take the trips.. most probably you would need to do only one blood work.. so go for it.

    Good idea Lecter. A bit like remembering to tell your wife how she looks (caution advised) I have no problem with posting comments. I absolutely love to stare at the beautiful images on this site. From my novice perspective, they are just about all in the impressive to brilliant range. I get a lot of inspiration & ideas from you guys. The webmasters stunning sports & concert photography. Paul Popes absolutely knock out, whatever he does stuff. Don & Pressmans outstanding digital darkroom magic (Pressmans Exmoor phots are out of this world) Lecters I WANT TO BE THERE RIGHT NOW! phots. Bob Gleasons super sports images & across the board versatility. I particularly take note of Bobs stuff because I know he hasn't been shooting that long, so his learning curve has been pretty meteoric.

    By the Lecter, how much does it cost you to get 'noticed'? (Couldn't wait to get to that bit)

    Co-sufferers,

    Due to our enemy#1 - Mr.Retrogression :eek: and the current state of economy, so many of us have used or will be using (willingly or not) AC-21 provision soon. I am wondering if you have seen cases denied solely due to AC-21?

    There are other threads for wrong denials due to employer invoking an approved I-140 after 180 days of filling 485. However this is to discuss the ultimate outcome of the case, as the above CIS mistake can be revoked using an MTR. What could be the other reasons? Historically? Statistics?

    I have personally met some people who used AC-21 and all of them have their 485 approved.:rolleyes: So please share more details if you have gone through this pain, or know someone. Knowing what went wrong can help all of us others to watch out for such mistakes.:confused:
