How would an operating system KNOW it is being run in virtualization? It cannot determine the difference from a real computer. We are talking about Vista like it is an artificial intelligence of some kind.
It's not about that, it's about having a "legit" installation. Especially for commercial environments, this means that Vista will only run in legit terms if you buy the Premium versions...

I have got to admit with others! the battery drain is horrendous!!!! :mad:
I took my iPhone 3GS of charge at 9:30am, all apps are closed down, location services off and the battery has dropped down to 58% already within 5 hours!!
The phone has just been sat on my desk without being touched, no phone calls, texts or internet use what so ever! :confused:

it will most likely be tomorrow if as has been pointed out tonight is visual night, the online store will update sometime around 1pm UK time I imagine but the store should be down before then.
Of course if tonight is really visual night and u live close enough to an apple store make sure pop in at 9:30am your time and tell us all if anything has changed :)

I love the design of the iPhone 4 and love the screen. Why not just go with a Mac-like update routine, where you throw in a newer, faster processor as soon as one is available? The yearly iPhone reveal may be great for media coverage, but it's unrealistic when the Android gang releases a new device every 7 hours.
Except that Mac's don't get an update as soon as a new processor is available either.

I can tell you from first hand experience many of the knock off conversion kits have a slightly thicker battery door which causes issues with certain cases - mostly hard ones, like snap on back covers or sliders.
They simply don't fit. They're just a hair off due to the thicker door.
I've also seen some white doors which are fine and fit with all cases.
Not saying these pics aren't of the Apple iPhone 4 or not......
Agreed. This is what I was saying (or trying to) in my earlier post. That many of the existing replacement backplates out there are just ever so slightly thicker than the stock black battery door, and therefore mess up the fit of quite a few cases. I know most of the aluminum "sandwich" design cases I use (where front and back pieces screw together) won't fit at all if the battery door is even a hair thicker, due to the precise measurements those cases are made to.

Killed in Islamabad, Pakistan. He was inside a mansion with some family. Can't believe he was hiding in plain sight, especially when It could have been easier for Pakistan which had been supposedly proactive in fighting the Taliban as well as Osama. Can't imagine this will help Pakistan-US ties in the least, rather strain them.

So instead, the new sidebar pushes into the image, reducing it in size, and requiring you to expand the width ( :eek: ) of the window if you want to keep the image the same size. I don't really see the overall difference. I suppose it comes down to whether you prefer the images to get slightly smaller, or the tray to suddenly cover over other things.

but who would want to have a full featured iTunes when you still haven't solved the problem of typing. The most efficient part for me is to type out what you're looking for. I do, however, see the advantage to making playlists more efficiently on the go, giving you the ability to shuffle anything you choose, not just "All Songs" which is a bother. :)Text input can be addressed in a lot of different ways. Bluetooth portable keyboards, for example. If I got a tablet, I'd also get myself a foldable keyboard to take along with me. Or you can make do with a virtual keyboard activated by gestures (2nd image):

People get beat up for no reason all the time. It doesn't have to do anything with bullying or the victim being a transgender. From what the victim said, the attackers used a standard "excuse" to start a fight. ("Why are you talking to my man?", if I understood correctly.)

I needed a portable computer to supplement my desktop, for when I travel (which is infrequent). This is why I opted for a netbook, I needed the ability to connect to my companies network and access programs/computers/servers (something an iPad cannot do) and also hold my photos when I do travel.
The used mini fit that bill, its a hackintosh, so I still get to use OSX, its cheap, small and functional.

Could someone clarify this for me: Aren't hard drives too slow to make use of Thunderbolt anyway? In a typical USB 2.0 external hard drive, what is the bottleneck in speed: The speed at which the hard drive spins, or the USB 2.0 connection? If it's the USB, then why do people even care about the RPM of a drive? If it's the RPM, then isn't USB 2.0 fast enough to run a hard drive at its native speed?
A faster HDD with a faster RPM will add to the speed. With USB 2.0 hard drives, USB 2.0 is the bottleneck. With USB 3.0 hard drives, it'll be the drives. For Thunderbolt, it will be the drives. Would be a while before we see any 10Gbps SSDs (hard drives will never be that fast), so USB 3.0 seems more practical for the time being.
