nlssubbu, its amazing that you still check IV and answer other's questions. I got my first AP and i travelled once and after coming back renewned my H1B and now i am thinking of applying for AP renewal. Can you please tell me if I can travel while the AP renewal application pending? The instructions in I-131 form says, the application will be abondoned if the person leaves the country after filing I-131.
can you share your exp. about using AP than get H-1b extension and again using of AP. how did it go.

Below is the link where the new forms are posted on the USCIS website. Also note that beside each form under "Edition" colum it says: "Previous editions accepted." for I-485, I-765, I-131. So you can use either the new forms or the olf forms. But if you are applying based on Department of State’s July Visa Bulletin No. 107 you can file your application till August 17th 2007 and have to pay the old fee.
In fact USCIS posted on 7/30/2007 for I-765 previos versions will not be accepted. but they have updated the website on 7/31/2007 that previos versions will be accepted for I-765.
So do not worry about which version of the form you are using. Make sure you are including the correct fee.

The other thing I don't understand is how come EB-1 and EB-2 which are current (for ROW) atleast can suddenly become U. See my reasoning above. It doesn't matter, the visa numbers were used up. EB3 ROW gobbled up the ROW quotient when retrogression was eased in May and June

How about country limits? Did USCIS give India more than 3K visas? I'd imagine so 7% of 140k is 9800

I joined in Company B just one month ago but my 180 days passed can i port AC21 is there any copulsory period need to be on their payroll

Let us assume you get an RFE and you give documents related to above, will the immigration officer think more on your case. This may have negative impacts on your application. I would rather say work for 5 to 8 months in the green card sponsor company and then leave.

I went to the infopass to inquire about the "additional review" letter I got from TSC. Officer did some search and told me the following " this case is in transit to an officer TODAY, just 30 minutes before. you dont have to worry about this notice". He also said that call us back in 45 days .. I did fax all the details to the Senator but am not sure whether this resulted from the inquiry.

Hello Everyone,
I currently have an employment based I-485 application pending (EB3, India). My application was filed when I was single. Now my spouse is getting ready to file his 140/485concurrently (EB2 NIW, non-retrogressed country). Since I already have a pending 485 application, we do not plan on submitting another 485 application for me when he files his. My understanding is that once he receives his 485 receipt notice, we would just need to inform USCIS that both our 485 applications need to be merged (his being the primary, and mine being the derivative). I just wanted to confirm that this is correct, or if there is anything else that needs to be done.
Please advise.

There is no straight way to get a copy of I140 approval notice. For all practical purposes the I140 reciept number will be sufficient(eg: To retain your priority date in case you file GC with another employer).
However, You can file a request using FOIA. Check the following threads.
