After speaking to my lawyer, it is my understanding that when you use EAD or AP, you are no longer on H1 and it is considered AOS. However, you can reapply for H1 after you use your AP...As far as I know AP does have an affect on your immigration status...Please someone correct me if you know for sure that AP does not affect H1/H4 status...
For the OP, please consult with other lawyers or chat with someone on free immigration lawyer chat forums...

I am currently looking for a job and I have a US Master's degree. I am stuck in this retrogression and my lawyer applied for EB3, and I have no choice but looking for another job that requires me a M.S. with higher salary so I could apply for EB2
Do you know where I can see which is the minimum wage for applying as EB2?? I remember in my Labor certification there was a place where I used to check minimal wage requirements.
I am rest of the world, and having an EB2 application will let me jump out of the retrogression if EB2 continues to be available

What if a 07/24/06 Y version of 485 is used while filing between July 30th to Aug 17th? The FAQ says that it should be version 07/30/07 Y. Any help is appreciated.
We signed on August 31st and Attorney used previous editions. i.e.07/24/06 Y version.

I don't think that with the EAD renewal receipt you can continue working. Right now, the EAD is valid for 1 year from the day the process and print your card and you cannot specify the employment dates(or they are ignored anyway). It works differently than an H-1B extension where you can specify the dates and even when they process you application say in April and you asked for it to start in march, the approval notice will have the starting period in March. For EAD, if they processed it in April, the starting date is in April.

I am sure if Guest Woroker Programs and hence CIR is enacted...there will be a free for all...illegals scrambling to ge their Tax etc in place so that they wont be deported. Hopefully they are not allowed to file for PR so soon that there is a even bigger queue for I485...and even CIR ends up providing no relief to us.

I agree with you. I am not able to access donor forums.I've contributed in the past. Even I've sent an email through contact us link, still no luck. "Administrator2" gave a good explaination about the Donar status. I am not looking for "Donor" status, all I am looking for is accessing the donor forums.
I wanted to find out if the past donations made by people like me are good enough to get us donor status. But I have only landed with circuitous answers to this issue.
Honestly, I couldn't give less tail about the donor status. What I really care about is being up-to-date with what is happening so that I can lend a helping hand in ways I can.
It seems like maybe some action is going down in the donor forums and ppl like us are left to wonder what is up. I don't think anyone cares to even post updates,albeit delayed, in the open forums about what is happening. It is just making for a really dry experience with IV lately.

I sent money order for some applications and personal checks for some.
Money Order can be tracked thru' ur bank - call them and ask how. I did and they gave a 1-800 number to call and track - it is an automated system. My money order was thru' Chase Bank

Do not get panic, there is no hard and fast rule that they will ask for RFE in ur case. Say if they come up with RFE they will ask ur employer to support with financial status as 140 is employer based, some time they approve ur 140 with out any hassle, so best of luck. Keep ur fingures crossed.
